Been a long time since my last post. Had a lot happen in my life outside of music…I moved across the country for starters.
If you don’t already know about it, I had a new album out. It’s called Jazz Carnival, and is a collaboration between pianist David Ryshpan and myself. The album is available worldwide on iTunes, and on CD in Japan (P-Vine). You can hit up the mysapce for some samples of the tunes. I will post a couple things on here in the near future.

The 49ers new album is finally out via Goona Trax in Japan!!! Here’s another one of the songs I did for the album…
The 49ers “My Melody”
For people who know my discography, they may recognize the song title from my 2006 album “With A Loop And Some Swing”. But the version on the album is actually a REMIX – the version below is the original song. I had this floating around in an early playlist for my “Rock To This Beat” album, but it didn’t make the cut. So I’m presenting it here for free!!! I hope everyone digs it, and shares it….

I’ve been sitting on this track for a while. Nujabes sent me the vocals, and I didn’t know quite what to do…until now!!! I threw CL’s lyrics over the beat I did for “Guess What” by the Jonesz, and it works! Check it out….

Japanese hip-hop label Goon Trax have hit #1 on the Tower Records charts with the release of In Ya Mellow Tone Vol. 2!!! The reason I’m posting this is because I have a track on the record – “Half Drunk” by The 49ers is produced by yours truly.
Check out the BIG tune from the comp, Chronic Intoxication (Anan Ryoko Remix) by Nieve & Cook. A little taste of Japanese hip-hop….

As you probably saw on the front page, I have teamed up with Carhartt Japan for an exclusive mix-tape called “The Piano Man”. The CD is available for free when you buy something at the Carhartt shops in Japan, or pick up my album at select HMV and Tower stores. So….for everybody else, I’m making the digital version available for download!!!

My new album ROCK TO THIS BEAT is finally out in Japan, and it had a great first week!!! Thanks to everyone who went out and picked up…and made it #1!!!
It also had a great run on iTunes Japan. I had my highest charting single of my career with “Do You Want Me f. Schubert” – we made it to #8 on the Hip-Hop charts. The album made it to #2 as well. I have been very surprised by the reaction. I am very happy to see that people are enjoying the music!!!!

Just found out today that I’m going to be doing a few tracks on The 49ers new album. I met them last year while I was in Japan with Specifics, and we collaborated on a track for my album Rock To This Beat. Now, I’m going to be on their new album due out this winter on Goon Trax!!!

I’ve just finished my second solo album!!! Sent the master in last week. I’m really excited about all the songs, and how the whole project turned out. I had the chance to work with a number of different artists who all brought something unique to the album. Also, the artwork is going to be crazy!!! Check out Jiro Fujita : http://www.fjd.jp
The album is going to be out on Sept. 5th/08 on P-Vine Records in Japan. No word yet on the EU and N. America, but I’ll keep you posted…
